Established in 1966, the Institute is the first and most comprehensive language education organisation in Australia. The Institute offers an extensive suite of courses, testing services and corporate and teacher training programs designed for students, teachers, government and corporate clients around the world. English language programs are available at various levels and lengths and may be packaged with the UNSW Foundation Year, UNSW Global Certificate IV and Diploma courses in International Business, UNSW Study Abroad or a UNSW degree.

UNSW Foundation Studies is Australia's premier University preparation program and has been offered on the UNSW campus since 1989. The Program assists international students from a variety of educational backgrounds to meet the challenging academic entry standards of UNSW and develop the study, language and cultural skills needed to succeed at university in Australia.

The UNSW Study Abroad program was established in 1989 as the first education program of its kind in Australia. Study Abroad enables international students to complete part of their degree program at UNSW. Students may enrol in over 50 academic disciplines at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for a semester or a full year.

Our international partners include many of the US Ivy league institutions such as Harvard, Brown, The Pennsylvania State University, University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Syracuse University, and Georgetown. Our prestigious European partners include Bocconi University, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, University of Insbruck, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Learn4Life offers nationally accredited Certificate and Diploma courses and a range of non-award business skills, information technology and customised business programs to individuals, business groups, industry and government. Courses are designed to improve the skills and competency of team leaders through to experienced managers, those seeking promotion or career change.
