• Established in 1966 as the first comprehensive language education organisation in Australia.
• The Institute is the only language centre in Australia offering all three external language proficiency tests recognised by Australian institutions including IELTS, TOFEL and CULT as well as providing numerous other tests for business English (Cambridge, TOEIC) , and corporate for purposes (e.g. Qantas)

• Established in 1989 as the first education program of its kind in Australia.
• Study Abroad has agreements with many of the US Ivy League institutions as well as prestigious European partners.

• Established in mid-1988, the UNSW Foundation Year program was the first specifically designed foundation program in Australia providing an alternative academic pathway for overseas students wishing to study at UNSW and other Australian universities.
